With over 14 years of experience working in both internal and external quality management, developing policies, processes and systems for a number of organisations across a range of industries and sectors, I felt deflated when my hard work and passion to embed true organisational change wasn't quite hitting the spot.
I would work hard with my teams to build and embed outcomes-focused policies and systems to meet legislative and strategic goals, only to find they were not always followed, implemented or driven by program or department leaders.
It occurred to me that while robust, lean systems and processes were in place, something was missing in ensuring success.
I identified 3 key areas which I affectionately refer to as the "Core Combination". I realised that when all 3 elements of the core combination were developed and embedded holistically the ability to achieve and sustain success and positive culture was possible - regardless of external influencers such as changes to operational or strategic goals, legislative requirements or changes in employees.
